The building’s base is a west-east rectangle which is 12-14 meters distant from the north side (entrance) and 4-5 meters distant from the neighbors. Actually, welcoming area and car parks are in the north and leisure, pool and private zone are in the south.
• GROUND FLOOR: As your request, silent areas are located in west, entrance, laundry and kitchen in east and living area and stairs in the center. Besides, the main entrance is on north and a second entrance is on east to the laundry. The wall-mounted kitchen is on east side too. Kitchen and living room are connected to each other, facing to the south and private area. Two bedrooms, one for a guest and the other one like a master bedroom are on the west side. The study room is beside them too.
• FIRST FLOOR: The staircase is in the center with a void, top of the green area in the ground floor and the bedrooms are located in the west and east. With a transparent corridor, facing to the garden, you can pass and go toward the bedrooms. The corridor opens to a big terrace too. Two bedrooms have terraces as well.
• PROJECT’S MASS: The base form is a rectangular box. Some faces are pushed inside in order to create better indoor spaces and a dynamic form. On the other hand, the first floor’s mass is placed on that, creating big open terraces facing to the south and west. But the most important thing is the architectural character. We have studied the neighborhood and architectural background and we recommend to create a same character for the building. On the other hand, it can remain modern. So, we have designed a combined modern style building which fits into the neighborhood and has its own unique character as well. In fact, it has nor flat neither pitched roof, but a combined roof with a modern touch.
• MATERIALS: As you have mentioned, the maintenance plays an important role in choosing materials. Here we have recommended long-lasting and rough materials for the exterior which have “modern look” as well. In fact, the main materials are concrete and cement. On the other hand, these two create contrast too. We can also extend concrete to the floors as well so all in all we have an integrated look. Above all, these materials are totally affordable.
• WINDOWS: As you have mentioned, it is expensive to design too big windows. Here we have considered windows up to 2.50 meters high with reasonable width around 1.20 meter. But there’s another window type for the pitched roof elevations which can be expensive! In this proposal we have presented this type but apparently you can use the regular type windows instead. It depends on the budget.
• STRUCTURE: We have presented reinforced concrete structure and you can see both columns and structural walls (which are exposed in some cases).
• TOTAL AREA: Total area should be 205 sqm which is considered in our proposal. But if it can be a little bit more, it can be helpful for the depth of the current designed areas.
