Hi,
I need to re-furnish a room inside a Bed&Breakfast. I opened my business a few years ago, with 3 rooms and now I want to open the 4th room to the public. The B&B is called SolArt rooms & breakfast.
SolArt because we have a solar panel and ‘Art’ because it is located in the heart of Trani on the old street where artisans and artists used to be. So I would like to embrace that heritage and ideally have some ‘artistic’ pieces inside the B&B. I have one room with 2 paintings done by an artist from Rome. And that is the 70’s room.
Also, rooms have different themes, I have Baroc style room, 70’s and Medieval. The most requested is the 70’s! So I need an idea for the 4th room as style, keeping in mind that I will also change furniture and /or theme to the Medieval room (people do not like it much!) in the future. So I need a ‘vision’ for the whole B&B (4 rooms) but style and furniture only for 1 room this time. I want to stay with ‘modern’ ‘contemporary’ … I need your ideas!
Now, inside the room you can change everything except: bathroom (new with vietrese blue tiles); wood-floor is new too. There is a old orange kitchen (horrible I agree) but at the moment I would like to keep it there. In the project I would like to see options with current kitchen and options with taking the kitchen out and see what I can do with that space. Keeping in mind that has connections for water and so on. TV is there on the wall.
Room needs to have: double bed (I have the mattress 160x200cm) + sofa or third bed + area for having breakfast + corner for mini-bar, coffee maker + cups sugar coffee capsules etc.
challenge: how to make ‘art’alive ? I really want the B&B to resemble place full of art or for artists…
The room has high ceiling and located in the historic center of the town.
Budget: I have no idea how much it would take me to furnish a room, please keep it low-medium with some high standard pieces. But I do not want a full ikea style. The business is running now as medium style accommodation, with this re-styling slowing I would like to raise it to the next level. So you will have to present different level of styles and budget to choose from.
