AZE sought architects who are proficient users of Revit with thorough knowledge of BIM management techniques for optimum coordination. As an architect based in Egypt, converting between systems of measurement (from the metric system to the imperial system) was quite challenging. Furthermore, the drastic difference between the construction systems in Washington compared to that in Egypt was an added value to my knowledge. The use of Revit and BIM programs made identifying existing and demolished structures feasible with a click of a button. My work included producing the tender package in order to issue the design license and necessary approvals for the project. The execution started in accordance with the project time plan. Most of the projects were fast-tracked which required exceptional time management skills, one of many skills I have gained from this exposure.
