Description

The project stems from the need to furnish a small two-room apartment in a short time and with a limited budget; the furnishings are able to adapt their shape in relation to the needs that evolve fast for two young college students. The blue colour, that encourages reflection and intellectual efforts, defines the handcrafted forniture and the white color determines the background and the other elements. The structural hierarchy of the living furnishings is divided into an ordered succession of elements that carry and are carried; the movable wooden boxes are supported by steel rails on the chipboard panels. This system makes the space flexible and modifiable. A number of other elements have been made to complete the furnishings: the large central table can be extended from 8 to 12 seats, thanks to the two desks (that are its sub-modules), the central lighting fixture allows to change the type of illumination by replacing the cloth used to screen the light, the bedroom lamp acts as a support for climbing plants recreating the forest light, the bed and two bedside tables are made of pallets.
