The new design concept stands and fits for all the 40 to 50 new stores which will be developed over the next years. So, we tried to make it an exclusive design which will be easy to unify the GLASSY stores by making minor but significant changes. It is difficult to design something that has history; therefore the intention was to keep the spirit of the old store(s), which is very important for the clients. Therefore, the project concept derives from the name of the store and the products they offer, so the first thought while designing was glass.
The design is based around a core concept however each store will use a variation of this principal idea. The idea was to keep everything glassy and shiny, inspired by the material of products, bringing it enlarged as a glass-box to the store as unification, making it more representable…making a glass store, a real glass store.
The glass box is used in a modular movable and repeated glass throughout the store to create the sense of continuity and repetition, using the same material and module which can be opened in window shelving parts. Since all the exiting mobile and window shelving were appropriate and unnecessary to invest, they were kept and only redesigned wall shelves to give a new look with minimal cost.
As the murano glasses come in different colors, it is thought to keep the main structure in a color that will let the beauty of products be seen. So, the brand colors are combined to earn an elegant silver pink color as unification.
