We need to design all rooms in our new apartment that are under construction, the apartment is about 365m2.
We have enclosed several inspirational images that show the design we like: it should be airy and light, modern and minimalist. We are receiving the apartment completely raw. To make things easier, we have uploaded the floor plan both in pdf and dwg format. And a pdf with some comments. There are no pictures of the actual apartment because it’s under construction. Please completely ignore the furniture drawn on the floor plan (that’s just the standard design proposed by the construction firm).
What we need from you: basically everything: – design of all rooms including floors, walls – plan of rooms – plan and details of furniture – plan of doors between rooms – lighting – color combinations General idea of apartment: functional, capaciousness, optimum usage of space, ergonomics, house atmosphere. Overall style – modern

ENTRANCE:
– Revolving door
– Entrance table
KITCHEN:
– Grey and white colors
– Pantry area
– Should preferably include an island with space for a few high chairs. And w/cabinet space
– Double sink
– Built-in trash, microwave
– Built –in 2 ovens & 1 stove gas
– Lots of cabinets and drawers
– Clean look trying to have as much counter space as possible
– Maybe on the side of one of the built-in furniture’s have shelf space for cooking + recipe books
– Vertical garden to grow herbs
– All cabinet furniture’s should be the height of the ceiling
MASTER BEDROOM + CLOSET:
– There will be no door to the balcony, the view is of the ocean, we would like for the bed to be looking at the view
– We’d like to have a small office space
– Also an alcove for my wife would be great
– We’d like, if possible, to divided the area into a bed area and a sitting area where we can have dinner, watch TV etc. if needed a second TV in front of bed
– Lots of cabinets and drawers in the closet
– Shoe display for his and hers section
– Place to put handbags
– Place to put watches + gadgets
– Closet doors with no handles
– Body mirror
Master bathroom:
– A big tub so children can bath
– Double sink
– Hanging toilet seat

– The shower should be floor leveled, no step to get in

– Hole in shower for shampoos, we want this space to be the horizontally size of the shower wall

Bedroom #2
– This is for our twin boys, which will be 3 years old by when we move to the apartment.
– ***Create a second floor so we can create a playing room and book space
– Good size bath room + closet space
– Option for 2 separate beds + bunk beds

Bedroom #3
– This is for our future children
– Good size bath room + closet space
Family room:
– The idea for this room is for the children be able to have a playing room but also be able for grown ups to watch TV and relax.
– Comfortable Sectional Sofa
– Book Space + maybe computer
Laundry Room:
– Must contain washing machine and dryer
– A space for hanging clothes to dry
– Hampers to divide cloths
– Closet for brooms, vacuum, laundry detergents, etc.
– Ironing board space (maybe a built in in order reduce space)
– Sink
– ***We have 2 live in house keepers, each one has a room and shares a bathroom, and maybe there is a better way to make this area more efficient in order to have a better distribution for the laundry area.
Living + Dinning Room:
– Table for 16-18 ppl
– Built in buffet with cabinets for china wear, etc.
– Sofa and coffee table
– Living rooms chairs
– Wall Shelves or custom made area for putting ornaments and sculpture, etc.
OUT DOOR TERRACE:
– BBQ Area with counter space and storage space for BBQ utensils
– Sink
– Table w/ 8 chairs
– Sofa

Additional notes:
The procession through the space then gets defined by entering a main foyer with a high ceiling, defined by soffits with lower ceilings at each end as you pass to the living dining or kitchen and back into higher ceiling areas. Going from higher to lower to higher again adds interest and movement to the spaces.
– Recessed lighting can be used in bathrooms, in the entrance, in the corridor and over the kitchen cabinets. In your project please indicate how many recessed LED lights, their power specs and a link to a model you like. You can submit your project in English.
