Description

This design proposition focuses on functionality making minimum changes to the main floor. There are 6 rooms - 3 with double beds, 2 with twin beds (one proposes bunk beds to have more space for closet) and one new room with private bathroom replacing the old kitchen. There is a large living area with an angular fireplace (see pictures attached) and large table for 12 people. The new kitchen is replaced and designed to be functional and open to the dining area and the living area. There are 4 bathrooms at that level. Two of them are "private". Two are redesigned by making different zones. This way they could be used by more then one person at the same time without discomfort.
On the first floor are designed two apartments that are independent and could be rented or not. For the Apartment 1 there are
two access options. If the inner staircase seems tight, there is an option for external stairs. The second option is to reverse the way of the inner stairs and to open a door on the ground floor level.
For the Apartment 2 there is one option for access - external stairs. Using pitched dormers (see north elevation), there is more space despite the slopes of the roof. It's up to you to decide if you want to elevate the roof slopes or just to reshape them. For the lower part of the flooring slab (on the first floor) there is an option to put a system known as "raised floor" (see construction details) to equalize the levels.
My design proposition suggests a semi- coverage of the west terrace.
I hope you like my proposition! Good luck!
