Description

The project develops on three levels, all treated with equal aesthetic importance in the design. On the basement floor, there is a garage for two cars and a storage area. The focal point of this floor is the spacious relaxation area, featuring a Zen garden, sculptures, and a counter-current swimming pool with subdued lighting to create a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Additionally, the gym, equipped with all necessary gym machines, is located on this floor, boasting a large mirror for a sense of expansiveness and a glass window overlooking the relaxation area. To access the ground floor from the underground floor, the existing staircase will be used.

On the ground floor, the decision is made to maintain a single entrance (with cobblestones), characterized by a large glass facade. This leads to a grand space consisting of a living room, kitchen, and dining room—all within the same environment but spatially well-defined.

The kitchen consists of a storage area and an island (workspace) where there will be an induction cooktop and a sink. Adjacent to the kitchen is the dining room with the table proposed by her (Le Corbusier). The living room, facing the kitchen, will be composed of two large sofas and a suspended round fireplace surrounded by two armchairs.

The rest of the floor will be dedicated to three bedrooms: one for guests, one for a child, and a master bedroom. All bedrooms have private bathrooms, and the master bedroom will have a large walk-in closet. It is decided to replace the secondary access with a private balcony for the master bedroom.

The central core of the house consists of a metal staircase that connects the ground floor with the first floor, eliminating the current staircase. The decision is made to expand the existing loft by creating two new volumes, intended for two offices. These offices will be equipped with a spacious desk and generous storage for documentation. Both offices overlook the living area on the ground floor.

On the first floor, there is a terrace partially covered with a complete kitchen, a dining table, and an uncovered area with a raised relaxation zone featuring a Jacuzzi and two sunbeds.

The real protagonist of the project is the concrete: to give the feeling of an industrial space but at the same time elegant and welcoming, we opted to make all the floors in microcement and cover all the perimeter walls with thermal insulation and concrete boards , which create a pleasant contrast with the black furniture.
