The main intent of the design is to plan 2 independent apartments without disturbing the existing load bearing structure. The following points have been incorporated in the design :-

• The opening on the external façade have not been shifted.
• Both the apartments have been treated as studio apartment with study area, queen size bed, kitchenette, living room, wardrobe, and toilet.
• Floor have been raised by 150mm for the highlighted region in the drawing. This has been done to connect the plumbing pipe and services for toilet and kitchen introduced.
• Both apartment have balcony which are connected to living room.
• Door swing of the balcony in apartment 1 has been flipped to open outside because of the raised floor level.
