Design intention was to create practical, warm and comfortable twin apartments while maintaining space qualities of once big apartment and taking into account its onsite potential.
Apartments have similar organization that consists of common areas like living room, dining room, kitchen and balcony on one side and private areas with bedrooms on the other.
Common area is designed as a large open space for having family time and hosting friends indoors, as well as outdoors. It consists of a living room and dining/kitchen area that expands into a balcony through a glass partition wall. Balcony is designed as an urban oasis and buffer zone from busy city life with lots of plants, allowing pleasant stay all year round. Having a glass wall between the living room, balcony it is rather seen as its extension letting nature and greenery into the interior itself together with soft light.
Private areas consist of three bedrooms (single bedroom, double bedroom and master bedroom) and are orientated on both sides of the apartment. Master bedroom is located on the quiet, south side, in order to give a lot of sunlight and privacy.
Apartments are designed to be similar in conception and area distribution in order to maximize space usage and to minimize costs of new infrastructure and custom design expenses. Bathrooms of both apartments are positioned in the center area, in the vicinity of the kitchen, and designed to share an installation wall to minimize the span of renovation and infrastructure work.
Chosen light palette with green color as an accent creates a warm, relaxing and comfortable space. Essence for styling this apartment was combining modern minimalism with transitional elements. Having clear lines with gentle wall moldings and extravagant furniture finishes makes a unique experience of luxury in a private city oasis.
