Description

The proposal tries to respond to needs while respecting the qualities of the existing building as much as possible. Space is subdivided into the living and sleeping areas, almost totally canceling the distribution space and giving organicity and fluidity to the various rooms. The large central pillar, supporting structure on which rests the ridge beam of the pitched roof, despite the division of the square room in the day and night area, is left free: it is still possible to go around it. It is precisely the pillar that organizes the flows. Its function is even enhanced by the three-sided fireplace, another element that, while leaving space open, is able to filter and divide the rooms: the dining area from the living area.
You access in the apartment entering directly into the living room. Upon entering you are greeted by a large space that develops in front of the entrance. First, you'll meet the dining room, equipped with a comfortable bench, a large table (is proposed an extensible table so as to be able to accommodate many guests), seating and comfortable armchairs in front of the fireplace. The dining room overlooks the outer space through the wide opening that leads to the terrace. Beyond the fireplace, in continuity with the dining room, is the living room, spacious and able to accommodate numerous guests. Continuing, the small door leads to the vaulted room, organized as a dinette (kitchen + dining room). The large room (about 30 square meters) is able to accommodate a large kitchen, an equipped wall on the bottom (by the pictures you've shown, I've understood you prefer to leave the walls as free as possible without occupying them with cabinets...so I've concentrated all the cupboard and the refrigerator along the back wall, in wardrobes that will not touch the vaulted surface but will stop at a height of about 2.70m, incorporating the door on the bottom), and a large island element (which can be, at the discretion of the customer, also an old "fratino" - dining table).
The sleeping area, consisting of two bedrooms and two bathrooms, is instead placed to the right of the entrance. A vestibule (a small open space) opens behind the great pillar. On this, on the sidelines of the representation space of the living room, are opened the doors of the two bedrooms and the bathroom for the boys and guests. A wooden surface - or white lacquered - (which thus denounces to be subordinated to the other elements - the perimeter walls and the roof) characterizes the wall sharing the living room from the bedrooms. To give intimacy to the rooms the wall that separates them has a great thickness as it contains the bookcases, on the front of the living room, and the wardrobes or the desk, on the front of the rooms. The kids' room is quite large (about 14 square meters) and characterized by two openings. In this way, in the future, will be easier to divide the space to get two small bedrooms.
The bathrooms are contained in the dimensions, but comfortable and laced with everything you need. The master bathroom is accessible directly from the bedroom and is equipped with a sink, a toilet and a comfortable shower box. The bathroom for children and guests is equipped with a double sink, a toilet and a large walk-in shower with a built-in bench (for comfort and to remove the water from the window.) A step characterizes the master bathroom over the long side wall (on which are placed the sanitary of the master bathroom and the washbasins of that of the kids), in order to make it easier to manage the slopes of the drain that, as indicated, will affect the part southwest of the apartment below.
