Description

The project took place in an old musicial pavilion located in a beautiful park in the old part of the Sarajevo city. Pavillon was build during
Austo-Hungarian period where there were four pavillions of this kind, and this one is the only one survived. The pavillion was not used enough and needed some new function that would give him back attractiveness and through which the object would be mainteined and prevented from possible future degradations.

New project proposes a redesign of interior that would give him back
his primary function- place where people meet and listen to the music. The dark and heavy wood in excisting site is refreshed with white concrete floor in combination with light pastel colours of furniture and copper which remainds of traditional bosnian materials that were used for making certain types of furniture and accessories.

Upper floor has octagonal shape and is designed with the same color scheme as ground floor with the space where people can play and listen to the music. Since the pavillion is located in the park, project proposes his integration into interior as well, so we see presence of the plants on the ceiling of ground floor and between glass panels of upper floor.

The project is one step more towards preservation of all historical valuable objects of Sarajevo that are 'speaking' about the diverse history of the city.
