Art residence
The international land art symposium that(which) is called "Borderlands Space" take place in the village of Mogritsa (Ukraine) every year. It is very important step in the development of Land-art in Ukraine. The initiator of the annual symposium is the artist Anna Gidora. Every summer a lot of painters, poets, musicians, dancers and simply creative people come in Mogritsia for take part in art symposium. For relax, desconect from this contemproary world and make some art instalations, sculpture and other art objects that you can see in the screen...The art objects where often the main material is the environment(wood, water, tree sticks, human body and etc.) and sometimes imported brought materials (glass, cloth and etc.) The village of Mogritsia has many years old. It is authentic, without technological, urban and other contemproary changes. The nature here is perfect, especially in the place where the participants live during the festival, this place without any signs of civilization, it is realy beautiful place: river and forest, chalk pit and endless meadows. At the moment the participants live somewhere, the most of the participants live in tents, without toilet, shower, water. The forest serves them as a toilet and the river as a shower. Its not environmentally friendly and is not comfortable. in tents and go for water and food to the village. I porpose Inspiration hostel here, in one of my favourite place in the world, where in the morning you observe valleys in fogs, and in the evening you can count all the stars in the sky. I insert my project into the existing way of life. It is inside and outside, interacts with the environment. I insert the project into the established life. Usually, if we have a techical task to make a building we make a building. I tried to adapt the project to the established life. This followed the transformation of the "one-building structure" into the "town-planning" project. In this scheme you can see how I insert new functions into the established life. So building here transformated into masterplan project where the streets became the corridors and the new objects became the rooms. Inspiration hostel consists of the next elements: Sphere for meditation; Art gallery; Multi Use center; Modules-residence and all space between - nature, village, inhabitants. They are located at a distance from each other and if you want to get from one point to another you should go a certain distance.
The important part of the project - the way - thread connecting certain points. Passing from the Sphere of meditation to the Module-residence, the person interacts with everything around - sound, smell, meeting. All this can inspire and make you closer with all this space. It can give you something more important. We live every minute with changing of the point of views, light and shadow, cold and warm. "The way" between elements and parts of the project is like full-fledged part of the project, an individual element of the idea.
Sphere for meditation is near from the ancient church. This part of the village is very quiet and tranquil.
Among different private houses on the main street is located Art gallery. It has a plot of land behind where are many sculptures and arts objects.
Next to the chalkpit is abandoned hangar. I use it for create Multi Use center. There is vestibul, library, classrooms and dining room. A part of the hangar is a free zone with the exelant view on the meadows.
Painters, musicians and dancers live in the Modules-residence which is located in the nature - among trees and near the river. One modul is a cube with glass top part and underground part. One module is for one person. It is like a small house, own studio, where you can live, work, thinks or have a rest.
