Modern style
This project is my first work experience project. House buildings are the dominant architecture in Iraq, as the expansion in Iraq is horizontal expansion. In the design, I tried to take into account the urban context and to choose suitable local materials to achieve both architectural distinction and protection from the hot environment. Bricks have used as a basic building material with rough insulation finishing materials that scattered the falling sunlight and high reflective glass. Contemporary home architecture in Iraq is relatively simple. One facade that overlooks the street is taken care of, while the other facades are a foregone conclusion. Afforestation of gardens for homes and neighborhoods plays an important role in improving the environment and providing shade.
