Revitalization of “Rilindja Printing House” - Hapësira
“Rilindja Printing House building is one of Pristina's most iconic buildings, designed by the Macedonian architect Georgi Konstantinovski and built in 1978. Located near the center of Pristina, this building is a landmark, a reference and the spirit of the city.
Rilindja Printing House consists of a two-story printing room and an 18-story tower. Before being covered in 'shining clothes', this comment by the architect after his desperation after the intervention in the building, Rilindja as a whole had a definite architectural identity and particular importance to the city. It printed newspapers, magazines, books and worked with over 180 journalists from the Rilindja newspaper. Although most of the printing press remains commercial space, the rebirth spirit of the building survives precisely in the deserted area, where today important cultural events of the city are held in various fields. ” (CHwB, 2017)
