Brief: The design and construction of an extension to an existing bungalow to a tight budget using locally sourced sustainable materials.

Role: Mr & Mrs Evans appointed me to design the scheme in 2007 and my involvement continued until the project’s completion in 2008. I worked with my clients to achieve a design which fulfilled their ambitions and then gained approval for this with the Planning Authorities. I then effectively guided the works through the construction phase.

I gained significant knowledge of timber and hay bale construction though my work on this project. My administration of several subcontractors secured me solid experience in project management particularly in the creation of successful working relationships. These allowed me to exceed my client’s aspirations and bring the project to early completion within budget.
