Alter Ego Art Battle 2016. Berlin. Currently qualified for FINAL ROUND. Winners to be announced on November 2016
Living in the “non-stop Berlin” generates in their citizens a sense to be always awake and ready for the action, however as humans we get tired and we need a break moment to recharge and be ready again to continue, so what about to use HOME as the recharging point?
CREATIVE EUPHORIA, replay to this question using the living room as a creativity, multitasking, positive and energetic area, when everything can happen. Based on Alejandro Jodorowsky’s - The Holy Mountain and Berlin wall graffiti art, we decided to create a space that leaves people to live it all day long, through mixed warm and cold colors, messing daytime and nighttime.
Inasmuch in these days, with new types of jobs, not everybody have the same regular schedules...so with this proposal we try to break out these schemes, leaving people to live the whole house without “timing”.
The choice of white furniture was taken because it creates an emphasis in the room, a little detachment from the energetic colors around them. In this way, while using or watching the furniture, the habitant can indivi- duate the objects as icons in the middle of a chaos sea feeling the peace it transmits.
The bedroom takes a different cue of “recharge”. The main idea is to be relaxed and eased. Yellow, blue, white and wood, are elements that remind us to the sun, the sky and the earth, giving the visual energy needed to reach serenity but not enough to be exhilarate.
