Residential - Apartment
Dear Client,
Following your brief, we have developed two design proposals for the apartment, primarily differing in the configuration of the night zone and the internal circulation. Both options are grounded in the same core principles—spatial fluidity, functional clarity, and a contemporary, minimalist expression—while offering alternative interpretations of privacy and movement within the home.
The design process began with your request to prioritize the kitchen as the central and most lived-in space. In response, the day area has been conceived as an open, generous environment where the kitchen naturally becomes the heart of the home. It features a large composition of tall cabinetry integrating separate refrigerator and freezer units, oven, and ample storage, all finished in wood veneer in line with your preferences.
A central island—peninsula, the piece you intend to acquire—anchors the space and reinforces its social character. While the island is designed to accommodate both a cooking range and a sink, we recommend relocating the sink to an alternative position, as indicated in the drawings, in order to optimize functionality and preserve a cleaner, more efficient working surface.
The kitchen is further complemented by a round dining table for six, enhancing its role as a gathering point. Adjacent to this, the living area is organized as a cohesive and inviting setting, structured around your selected statement furniture pieces—the sofa, armchairs, and coffee table—which act as key anchors of the overall design. A contemporary bookcase and an console TV wall element with an integrated bioethanol fireplace contribute to a sense of depth, warmth, and visual continuity.
The relationship between interior and exterior spaces has been carefully considered. The terrace is envisioned as a true extension of the living area, in line with your request for year-round usability. It is envisioned as steel and glass pergola with movable vertical panels, positioned on the inner side of the railing. This intervention creates a flexible environment that can function as a winter garden, accommodating both dining and lounge settings.
The two proposals explore different configurations of the terrace and lounge elements. In Solution A, the lounge chair is positioned externally, reinforcing the outdoor living experience, while in Solution B it is incorporated within the interior, allowing the terrace to function as a more structured seating area with two armchairs.
The night zone, located on the quieter side of the apartment, has been developed to include two bedrooms with the requested features, ensuring a balance between compact efficiency and comfort. Each proposal approaches the organization of this zone and its connection to the rest of the apartment differently, offering distinct spatial experiences while maintaining the same level of functionality.
It is important to note that the accompanying visualizations are intended to communicate the overall design direction and atmosphere. Certain elements, including furniture details and specific finishes, may vary during further project development.
Overall, the proposal aims to create a home where the kitchen acts as a vibrant social core, seamlessly connected to both living and outdoor spaces, while the night zone offers a more intimate and quieter retreat—resulting in a balanced and cohesive living environment.
We remain at your disposal for any further clarification. Wishing you luck with your renovation project!
Best regards!
