Hi our valued client, hope you like our design, here is the architectural design report of it:
Introduction:
The renovation project for the old stone building near Oria aims to preserve its historical charm while modernizing its amenities to create a comfortable living space. This report outlines the design modifications made to enhance privacy, maximize natural light, and optimize heating efficiency.
Design Adjustments:
1. Entrance Reconfiguration: The original entrance remains at the plot's entrance, ensuring continuity with the surrounding landscape. However, for enhanced privacy, the main entrance of the house has been relocated to the western side.
2. Pergola Positioning: To prioritize privacy and maximize sunlight exposure and heating efficiency, the pergola has been strategically positioned to the south. This placement optimizes natural light penetration into the living spaces while creating a sheltered outdoor area.
3. Living Area Integration: The living area and open kitchen have direct access to the pergola, fostering seamless indoor-outdoor connectivity and enhancing the overall livability of the space.
4. Exterior Facade: The exterior facade combines original stone with white plaster, preserving the building's traditional aesthetic while introducing a touch of modernity.
5. Privacy Features: To shield the property from the adjacent road, a low-permeability fence has been installed, complemented by landscaping features such as shrubs and climbing plants to create a green curtain, ensuring privacy without compromising aesthetics.
6. Interior Features: The existing doors within the house have been retained, maintaining their authenticity and character. An inset area in the master bedroom has been transformed into an authentic fireplace, adding warmth and ambiance to the space.
7. Outdoor Amenities: A pool, connected to the pergola, provides a refreshing retreat, while an outdoor kitchen under a pergola offers a versatile space for leisure and entertainment.
Conclusion:
By incorporating these design adjustments, the renovated stone building seamlessly blends historical charm with modern comfort. The strategic positioning of elements enhances privacy, maximizes natural light, and creates inviting indoor and outdoor living spaces, ensuring a harmonious living experience for the occupants.
