Description

The villa is a sleek rectangular volume, sitting daintily on a water body, which opens up into a swimming pool on the NW edge. It’s as if the villa is floating, with a tree anchoring it to the ground, through the circular cutout on the roof. Celebrating the unity of the built and the natural, the design blurs the line between outside and inside. The strategic placement along the NE-SW direction, brings in daylight from early morning till late evening.
The massing of the villa follows a clean, modern rectangular geometry with a touch of drama at the entrance, where the facade folds inside to form the entrance porch. The roof slab adds to this, with its distinctive red hue, which contrasts with the otherwise white, textured walls.

Following suit, the interior spaces also adhere to straight lines, with a clean internal sizes of rooms which will adapt seamlessly to any chosen finishing. One enters the villa into a spacious living space which is segregated into public zone(facing the fire place) and private zone(facing the water body). These are bridged by the dining space in the middle where we envision a huge circular light pendant.
The usual provision of windows is modified, which are placed as strips at two levels, bottom and top which provide a better visual connection to the outside, whether seated or standing. It also creates a better cross flow for natural air circulation in and out of the spaces.

The interior colour palette is envisioned to be neutral, with contemporary furniture of solid colours, bringing playfulness to the spaces.
