La proposta si caratterizza per un attento studio dei percorsi sia interni che di accesso alle due unità in modo da evitare affacci su entrambi i piani oltre che sulle aree esterne; per questo l’accesso all’appartamento n.1 si colloca al piano terra e quello all’appartamento n.2 al piano primo in modo da risultare completamente indipendenti. Entrambi gli appartamenti si sviluppano su due piani e si compongono di ingresso in ambiente open con grande living e sala da pranzo, cucina abitabile con isola e adiacente lavanderia e ripostiglio e infine bagno al piano; la zona notte si compone invece di tre camere di cui una padronale con bagno oltre ad un ulteriore bagno a servizio delle altre camere. Vengono proposte due soluzioni che si presentano simili per quanto riguarda le funzioni ospitate ma con metrature differenti, inoltre nella seconda soluzione l’unità n.2 si compone di una camera, con possibilità di essere utilizzata anche come studio, al piano primo così da affacciarsi sulla zona living, e due camere di cui quella padronale al piano terra sempre con affaccio sul giardino di proprietà. Pur rapportandoci con muri esistenti curvi che identificano caratteristici volumi visibili fin dall’esterno, si è cercato di seguire un’ottimizzazione degli spazi impiegando tamponamenti interni lineari che spesso ospitano armadiature a tutta altezza inserite nei disimpegni ma anche nelle zone adiacenti l’ingresso in modo da poter riporre gli abiti e da fungere da comode armadiature con ante filomuro. Nelle aree più buie vengono collocati locali più di servizio in modo da rendere le zone che maggiormente si vivono all’interno della casa più ariose e quindi ben luminose.
Per quanto riguarda gli spazi esterni nella planimetria generale vengono ipotizzati due box con accesso diretto dal passo carrabile, mentre per i passi pedonali questi possono essere a fianco dei precedenti oppure eventualmente antistanti gli accessi alle unità. Come visibile dagli elaborati non sono presenti affacci in modo da offrire privacy ad entrambi così da presentarsi come due bifamiliari con giardino sui lati.

The proposal is characterized by a careful study of both the internal and access routes to the two units in order to avoid views on both floors as well as on the external areas; for this reason the access to apartment n.1 is located on the ground floor and that to apartment n.2 is on the first floor so as to be completely independent. Both apartments are spread over two floors and consist of an entrance into an open environment with a large living room and dining room, kitchen with island and adjacent laundry room and closet and finally a bathroom on the floor; the sleeping area consists of three bedrooms, one of which is the master bedroom with bathroom as well as a further bathroom serving the other bedrooms. Two solutions are proposed which are similar in terms of the functions hosted but with different sizes, furthermore in the second solution unit no. 2 is made up of a bedroom, with the possibility of also being used as a study, on the first floor so as to overlook on the living area, and two bedrooms, the master bedroom on the ground floor, also overlooking the private garden. While relating to existing curved walls that identify characteristic volumes visible from the outside, we have tried to optimize the spaces by using linear internal infills which often house full-height wardrobes inserted in the hallways but also in the areas adjacent to the entrance in a to be able to store clothes and to act as comfortable wardrobes with flush-to-the-wall doors. More service rooms are placed in the darker areas in order to make the areas that are mostly used inside the house more airy and therefore well-lit.
As regards the external spaces, in the general plan two garages are hypothesized with direct access from the driveway, while for the pedestrian passages these can be next to the previous ones or possibly in front of the accesses to the units. As visible from the drawings, there are no views in order to offer privacy to both so as to present themselves as two semi-detached houses with a garden on the sides.
