Project description

This apartment renovation project explores the transformation of the living room into a contemporary living area with an integrated kitchen, responding to evolving domestic needs and lifestyles.

Beyond this primary intervention, the project introduces a series of strategic spatial reconfigurations to enhance functionality and adaptability. The original kitchen was converted into a single-bedroom that incorporates a dedicated workspace, creating a hybrid environment that supports both rest and productivity.

To optimize the layout, the kitchen was relocated along the shared wall between the living room and the former small bathroom, ensuring efficient use of existing plumbing infrastructure. The small bathroom was integrated into the main bathroom by removing its separate entrance from the hallway and merging the two spaces into a single, cohesive wet area.

This newly defined bathroom was carefully articulated: the former small bathroom zone now functions as a laundry area with built-in storage, while the main bathroom features a modernized vanity space at the entrance. The bathtub and shower area are subtly separated by half-height partitions, and the shower is enclosed with full-height glass panels to maintain visual continuity while enhancing functionality.

Additional adjustments include repositioning the door of the second bedroom by 32 cm and revising its opening direction, allowing for a more efficient interior layout.

Overall, the project balances spatial efficiency with a refined architectural language, creating a flexible and contemporary living environment that aligns with modern patterns of everyday life.

Sincerely,
