The project aims to create small functional areas within the terrace, while maintaining a unity, both visually, and in the materials used. we create a central space dedicated to stay, where to converse with friends, eat, or just relax. then a kitchen area, where the existing sink is reused inside a wooden cabinet, made with plenty of room for wall units, as well as a protection to host the existing barbeque. (In order to shield it and protect it at the same time from the weather). the recreation / sport area is slightly raised up,just a step, and paved with the same (or similar)material of the existing wooden tub.
Truly important is to use the vegetation: aromatic plants on board of the kitchen area, flowering plants in the central area, in addition to the climbing one, which serve both to shield the structure of the existing roof, and to gradually cover the wall to the outside, that it is improved with a new structure in wooden brise solails.
