Here some advices to turn your rooftop terrace into a new modern one.
1. Cover the present paving tiles with outdoor resin floor, the same resin product can be laid on the Jacuzzi structure and this will enhance the modern appeal; you can choose any color and finishing you prefer but I advice light grey, smooth or rough finishing.
2. Change the present fence with a glass one with no frame, in this way you’ll have also a full view on the sunset; for privacy screen in the Jacuzzi area I have placed planters with high vegetation, I advice not to raise the wall as you suggested, because it would be a less interesting view than flowers and plants.
3. Paint white the pergola; please note that the plan shows only the position of the columns to let you see the furniture layout.
4. To complete the modern look I have proposed new furniture, outdoor kitchen and planters.
Both sofas and planters are available in a great variety of colors, so you’ll find the color that suits you most. You can decide for a combination of colored planters and white sofas or, viceversa, for colored sofas and white planters.
