I am looking for the best design of an outdoor sitting/entertaining area that lies next to the outdoor gazebo area. The area that is labeled ‘courtyard’ in the optional plans layout is the area that I would like to change. Right now, it exists as an empty space. The gazebo is currently the area where I dine outside, but it is not convenient for larger parties. I would like a dedicated dining/entertaining space in the ‘courtyard’ area of the gazebo. There are stone pavers on the ground, but I am open to any change, as long as it keeps up with the theme of the gazebo.
I am looking to place my grill and sink from the inside area of the gazebo (see pictures) and put them outside in the ‘courtyard’ area. I would also like to add additional seating in the courtyard area. I would like to seat 8-10 people in this area. The grill can be a part of the table or it can be separate. I am looking for efficient use of this space (courtyard) A table would be ideal, but I am open to suggestions. In the courtyard area, I would like to place a grill, a sink, and an outdoor pizza oven. Obviously, I would like to keep the motif of the gazebo, which can be described as antebellum era architecture, which is highlighted in the photographs.
I am looking for a creative, yet understated re-design of the courtyard area. The gazebo will be used more for seating/television watching and the courtyard will be used for dining/entertaining. This space does not currently have an roof, it exists in open space. I would consider a terrace overhanging this space to shield the area from inclement weather. I will also need to replace the landscaping/vegetation that is currently there, consider all the areas inside of the walls working space.
Looking for a design that is an efficient use of space, is livable, and matches the theme of the gazebo. The gazebo is the center of fall/spring entertaining and I want a natural extension of the gazebo into the ‘courtyard’.
I look forward to your entries.
