My wife and I purchased an apartment of 170 square meters and we need some professional advice to optimize the different areas and the furniture in accordance to our family needs.
The apartment is quite well described in the attached DWG and PDF files.
There is some constrain that you have to consider while you are designing the apartment:
1. We already painted the walls of the apartment using color 9001 and we do not intend to change it. Please take it in consideration while you are defining the furniture and the colors combinations.
2. The parquet has been recently polished so we want to minimise (or avoid) the partition walls demolition (one exception described in the next point). There are also 4 closets located as per the attached picture #1 that we do not intend to remove.
3. You are free to modify the partition walls of the kitchen, the retro and the dinning room area (mistakenly named DISPENSA in the PDF file). In principle, we would like to convert the dinning room in a TV (play) room for our kids but it is up to you to decide…
4. We need two dining tables: one in the kitchen (already purchased as per picture #2) and one in the living room (picture #3). We need two TV areas: one for our two little girls with a bed-sofa and one for us.
5. We would like to switch the office with the master bathroom (10.03 sqm) and connect it with the second hallway (9.86 sqm) through a big sliding door (see picture #4). It will increase the hallway brightness thanks to light coming from the new office.
6. We have some furniture from our previous apartment that we would like to properly arrange into our new apartment:
a. Sideboard (picture #5) 225x65x(h)91 cm
b. Office Desk (picture #6) 130x65x(h)75 cm
c. Coffee Table & Small Library (picture #7) 130x130x(40) cm and 50x38x(h)150 cm
d. Two Yellow Chairs (picture #8)
e. Master bed (picture #9) 200x180x(h)45 cm
f. Closet 600 (picture #10) 150x60x(h)190 cm
7. Other furniture should be purchased at the following stores: made.com, lovethesign.com, chateau-dax.it (only sofa), ikea.it (only for little girls room and small stuff).
8. The environments to be created are the following:
a. A comfortable living room with sofa, coffee table (picture #7), TV area, dinning table (picture #3) and reading corner.
b. Independent kitchen with a family table (see picture #2) and a little sitting area to chat and drink a coffee (Starbucks style).
c. An office (location as per picture #4) with two workstations, library and a bed sofa.
d. 2 bathrooms with a laundry area;
e. 1 master bedroom maintaining the existing closet;
f. 1 twin bedroom for our daughters maintaining the existing closet.
