Description

The project proposes small changes to create the spaces desired by the customer and make the house bright, modern and functional.
• ENTRANCE / HALLWAY: it’s a business card of the apartment and its container handyman: the wardrobe with mirror can be replaced, or integrated into a full-height wardrobe / container system, which includes: wardrobes, a small daily wardrobe for the quick change, a bench with shoe and mirror space, a container column for suitcases and ski sets. This large piece of furniture is angular and occupies the two blind walls, while a very modern and space-saving bike rack (Clug by Hornit) is positioned in the space behind the door.
• CORRIDOR / HALLWAY: the storage space here extends along the entire blind wall, including the niches and equipping it completely. The wardrobe is large and clear, to make the environment brighter, in contrast with the wood-effect flooring.
• LOUNGE: the access wall is moved, slightly enlarging the lounge and obtaining, on the blind wall, a large bookcase space, in which there is a home office, and where the sound system can be easily installed. Sofa bed and Ikea TV cabinet complete the minimal but elegant decor.
• BEDROOM: located next to the lounge, and large enough to accommodate two children in the future. Includes wardrobe, play area and study area and a loft be, with enough space for a second one. Even the fox will have a space all for her!
• MASTER BEDROOM: occupies the central space. The large decorated wooden door gives access to the walk-in closet, which is not closed with walls, but is made as to have a bookcase on the back. The room thus appears larger and brighter, and is not visually divided into small spaces.
• BATHROOM: the column that protects the drains is replaced with a linear column in plasterboard, next to which soap holder niches are created, to furnish and complete the space around the tub. If possible, the washbasin cabinet can be modified to include the washer-dryer column.
• TOILET: the most important modification is the creation of the toilet, which will be next to the bathroom and equipped with a common hallway. Masonry for the walls of the toilet, wooden slats for the small hallway, in order to create a light, economical and easy to make room divider, which does not close the space too much.
• KITCHEN / LUNCH: the most lived-in room in the house is a fluid and continuous environment, in which small changes are enough to include the fridge in a corner, and create a space for lunch with a practical bench, also furnishing the side under the windows. If possible, the structure and doors can be painted (see Georgia by Cucine Lube) in order to refresh their style, and the space under the windows can be adapted to obtain a small breakfast space, which if necessary becomes a second home office (with coffee on hand!).
• FINISHES: perfect the retro contrast (doors, ceiling decorations) with modern, by painting the innermost parts of the house in total white and combining various shades of gray in the rooms (dare darker in the master bedroom, make the lounge brighter because it lacks of natural light). For the floors, dare a little more, avoiding the monotony of a unique floor, and trying a natural wood effect (in the main rooms) combined with a modern concrete effect (bathroom and toilet).
• FURNITURE: classic and minimal, it plays on the white-gray-wood combination, with colorful but not excessive details. Fresh and light tones for fabrics and curtains.
• LIGHTS: the existing light points are exploited as much as possible, adding modern and stylish touches. OK to spotlights, perfect for service areas (walk-in closet, toilet, bathroom & corridors), to LED strips for wall units and wardrobes, while space to ceiling lights and suspensions in the main rooms, daring even a few small touches of steel or color.
