Description

In the standard plan there was a lot of wasted space, like big hallways only for the movement and access.
The main goal of our project is to recover this space and turn it into practical and lively area. So we created a sumptuous entrance, that reminiscent the heart of the ancient Roman "domus", and a gallery to exhibit art pieces that connects the various areas of the apartment.
Reformulating the spaces, we have also created a private and intimate area for parents, that in connection with the master bedroom, offers spaces for eating, working, reading, watching tv and any other activity.
This area is completed by two walk-in closets and a large bathroom that has a big bath, as required, as well as a shower with built-in sauna.
The children's room has two beds in the loft and below it a relax and playing area; there is also a desk, a big wardrobe and other storage furniture made from an optimal use of space.
The family room is organized around a central sofa exploitable on all sides that allow to perform all the activities such as reading or watching movies.
The kitchen provides a central island for cooking and eating, surrounded by elegant and essential furniture that make the most of every space.
We rearranged the servant's spaces making an indipendent entrance, a more liveable bedroom and a bigger and more functional laundry.

We studied lighting and ceilings in order to satisfy the needs of each space and to emphasize the value, like the half-dome in the entrance, the lighting cornice in the living room or the wooden and curved fals ceiling in the master bedroom.

Technically we made sure not to move structural parts or pipes, only the central ac unit has been moved significantly, but we think that it shouldn't be a problem.
