In the center of Bologna, near the central railway station I bought a studio flat on the top floor of a building of the 60s, renovated 15 years ago.
The space is divided functionally into a kitchen area (with a window and a balcony overlooking the north-west, on the station), a bathroom and a living / sleeping area with a window that faces south-west, overlooking the center and the hills.
I’m going to use it personally as a pied-à-terre for my travels (Bologna, thanks to its strategic location is one of the most important railway hubs in Italy), or rent it to a student or a professional during periods of non-use. The prevalent use will be for one person, but I’d like to provide accommodation, in case, to a possible guest. It would be useful to identify a space for storage use (where to put my folding bike and case, as well as tools for cleaning). The heating system is centralized. I take into account a possible replacement of floors and tile coating. I can consider also a bathroom shift if deemed beneficial by the designer.
