Hi dear client,

I've been working on your new night area design.

In first place, I have decided to reduce the length of your corridor in order to create a bigger bedroom. Your “bedroom 2” will be now the main bedroom. For this room I have been working in two solutions:

OPTION A:
You told that it was a wish having a walk in closet so the option A contemplates that. I decided to create an airy walk in closet with a bench and to use the panel that separates the bedroom from the closet to place a TV. I have seen in the photos that you have one in your bedroom so in the two options the TV is integrated on the design. The bed is placed under the window in this option to have the sensation of a bigger space.

OPTION B:
This one is a more common option but makes the bedroom feel bigger. I created a closet that covers all the wall and works with three sliding panels. As in the other option, the TV is integrated in front of the bed. If you wish, as there's a lot of free space, you can also create a relax zone with some armchair in this bedroom configuration.

For the bathrooms I provided the main bathroom with a bath tub under the window. I have only moved the toilet drain about 60 centimetres. The situation of the toilet conditions me to move the door. This main bathroom will have two sinks. I have uploaded a picture about the bathroom style that fits into your house.

The service bathroom will have a shower, and the toilet drain it's not moved. I disposed the washing machine and the small locker closet in the corridor. This way, the service bathroom looks more tidy.

The study is the risky part of this project proposal. The first time I have seen the plans I knew that the study needed to have a balcony and an access from the living room. This is because the north orientation, that provides a diffuse light, is the best one for reading or working. Never dazzles. Also, because the relation between the studio and the living area always creates a nice ambient.

I have decided to create a big opening (two meters) on the wall between the studio and the living that is closed with sliding panels that are totally hidden when it's open. You now have a bookcase all long this wall in the living and also a TV cabinet. My design proposes buying more modules (you will need some modules of 120 cm and some others of 60 cm) of this bookcase that you already have and, starting next to the TV cabinet, create a wall bookcase that will have a continuity between the living and the studio and finishes in the balcony wall. I would conserve also the modules that are in the right wall nowadays.

The studio zone it's about creating atmospheres. There's one sofa bed that can be used usually for reading or eventually when you have guests. In front of the sofa bed, integrated in the shelving system, you can place a TV for the studio but I believe it's not necessary another TV because of the connection between the studio and the living areas. A little desk is placed on the corner to work on the computer (If you need a bigger desk you can turn it and put it against the wall). The chaiselongue it's a great part of the studio because from there you can have visuals of the living balcony and also of the studio one. It also have a space relation with the living area.

Finally, the studio balcony has a lot of potential to create a relaxing reading place, just an extension of the studio. I have uploaded some reference pictures of what I mean: some chairs with a little table, a little bench, an armchair or maybe a little and cute wood bookcase and some plants... you can create there a really nice space, it's up to you!

I firmly believe that with these changes your living wins in amplitude and luminosity at the same time that the new study is now a well related space into the house. The kitchen it's not object of intervention and neither the entrance. In my opinion, it's important to have the entrance separated from the night area corridor so I will definitely not remove the wall between them.

The lighting is following the style of the one you already have in the dining area, that fits a lot into the design. In the studio and also in the living I propose the same lighting but without the parabola to not charge the ambient so much, only with a straight leg.

Hope you like it as much as I do.

Thanks.
