Dear Giacomo & Anna,
The project has a prior objective to maintain the original concept of the construction, valuing their original style.
The proposal is to add new construction to the site, but with new materials, not trying to trick about whats is new and what's old. A metallic structure is built to sustain the metallic roof, also completing the old one. The new structure makes able to create a higher window, with the idea of bringing more light to the new space.
The layout was thought to value the internal interactions on the house, having various spaces to get together with guests and special spaces where you can have a better view of the current site, also the integration between the social spaces was put in priority here.
The materials suggested were thought to valuing the initial concept of the house, using polished finishes as details to contract the rustic materials.
