I proposed two alternative designs. Both designs have open layout design for integrating living, kitchen and dining room in covered veranda (⑥). I proposed folded windows in covered veranda so that can be closed in the winter time. I also made alternative sliding doors in covered veranda (look at the render view). There is a large space of uncovered veranda (⑦) for seating and barbeque space. From this space, there is a stairs to access the veranda in above sleeping room. In the alternative 1 design, indoor staircase is straight shape and there is no void above the living room and kitchen. There is also no access from bedroom to bathroom. I also proposed two bedrooms in mezzanine floor, one is double bedroom, the other is single bedroom. Small kitchenette in mezzanine is provided for coffee machine and microwave.
I proposed internal ladder to access veranda because there is about 70 cm different level from mezzanine floor to veranda. I alternative 1, there is no void above the living room and kitchen. I also proposed two bedrooms in mezzanine floor, one is double bedroom, the other is single bedroom. Small kitchenette in mezzanine is provided for coffee machine and microwave.
In alternative 2, I proposed access from bedroom to walk-in closet (④). The indoor staircase is U-shaped and there is a small storage under the staircase.
In alternative 2, there is a void in the mezzanine floor to see the living room and kitchen in the first floor. I only proposed one double bedroom, living room, and small bathroom in mezzanine floor.
