Today I had dwg project, with small changes in ground floor and I have uploaded it now. I updated also PDF of ground floor. I apologize for the delay.
The entrance and the ladder are changed. In my city we have strong wind, it is better not to enter directly into the living room.
I’ve add 3 days at contest expiration, so you can analyze the new files. You can also propose layout better of it
<---
The villa was built in 1954.
It has a ground floor used as technical rooms/storage and garage, living room and kitchen are on the first floor, the bedrooms are on the second floor. Also, there is the flat roof.
An essential element is surely the current staircase, notable for its size indeed it represents the major constraint.
The stairwell is accessed from the outside, from a porch.
The villa is surrounded by a garden with too many trees and palms. We plan to cut almost everything to redesign it completely.
We have already been working on a preliminary draft, so we prefer that you start from what we have done suggesting new solutions and details to improve it.
Starting from scratch will be needless.
Also, please find attached the layout of the three floors. Hopefully, you will find better solutions.
The villa will be inhabited by our family, consisting of two parents and three small children (2, 4 and eight years old). So, the project should take into account the existing and future needs.
The basic idea is to live on both the ground and first floor that should be connected with an internal staircase.
We would like to use the second floor as a recreation room and guest area, connected to the existing large staircase and independent from the ground floor and first floor.
We would like the main entrance to the ground in front, while the entrance of the exterior staircase needs to be on the side.
In the preliminary draft that I have attached, you will also find the third floor. We decided not to build it to prevent the house from becoming too similar to a condominium. Even the elevator will not be realised so that you can remove it.
We don’t need to keep anything from the actual state fo the house: you can create new windows and balconies, if necessary. It will be made an outer coat, therefore, those bricks that you see will be covered as we do not like.
We will have the underfloor heating, so we don’t need radiators except for the stairwell and bathrooms (where there will be radiators).
What we would particularly like to get from this contest is:
- A pleasant appearance, modern but not excessive. We would like to have the look of a villa instead of a condominium.
- A beautiful garden, which allows children to play and also to organise parties with friends. It has to be arranged in a practical way, avoiding plants and situations that require maintenance.
- Particularly for the ground floor and bedroom, we would like to have the appearance of an ”important" villa.d
