Il progetto che vi presento per il rinnovamento del “carpe diem“
tiene conto delle richieste da voi descritte in fase di presentazione del contest e tenta di darvi risposta.
Considerato il livello di dettaglio cui il progetto era già arrivato ho ritenuto di non stravolgere completamente il layout di partenza apportando principalmente modifiche nelle finiture, negli arredi e nei colori, per raggiungere un ambiente con le caratteristiche richieste.
L’elemento che caratterizza il progetto è costituito da elementi di divisione tra le diverse aree funzionali costituiti da una serie di listelli in legno lamellare disposti in fila a formare tramezzi semitrasparenti, che riprendono il tema delle travi a vista della struttura di copertura; l’effetto ricercato è quello di creare aree riservate ma comunque facenti parte di un unico ambiente, in cui le diverse zone fossero chiaramente riconoscibili (market, food, restaurant, bar) e allo stesso tempo indipendenti ma correlate tra loro.
L’atmosfera che ho cercato di rendere è quella di un ambiente con toni scuri (intonaco nero e lavagna) che contrastano con i materiali preponderanti (legno e acciaio corten rossastro) in modo da raggiungere un effetto moderno, industriale ma al tempo stesso elegante.

The project for the renewal of the "carpe diem" takes into account the requests from you described during the presentation of the contest.
Because of the level of detail to which the project had already arrived I decided not to completely change the existing layout, making changes mainly in finishes, furnishings and colors, to achieve an environment with the required features.
The element that characterizes the project is made up of elements of division between the different functional areas consisting of a series of laminated wood strips arranged in a row that form partitions semitransparent (that regard to the theme of the beams of the roof structure); the desired effect is to create restricted areas but still part of a unique environment, in which the different areas were clearly recognizable (market, food, restaurant, bar) and at the same time independent but related.
The atmosphere that I've tried to design is that with dark tones (black plaster and blackboard) that contrast with the predominant materials (wood and Corten steel) in order to achieve a modern effect, industrial and elegant at the same time.
