La ristrutturazione della taverna ha lo scopo di rendere lo spazio piu accogliente e luminoso. Il progetto prevede una nuova distribuzione degli spazi: una camera da letto matrimoniale con armadio, un soggorno/cucina e un bagno. La taverna è suddivisa in due ambienti da una parete obliqua intonacata bianca, che rende lo spazio piu luminoso, riflettendo la luce che entra dalle piccole finestre. Il materiale scelto per il pavimento e per alcune delle pareti è il larice termocotto, che rende l’ambiente caldo e accogliente. Le pareti rivestite in legno sono quelle perimetrali ad esclusione della parete di fronte alle finestre, in cui e collocate la cucina, che è invece intonacata bianca. Il bianco di questa parete e della cucina, come nel caso della parete obliqua, ha la funzione di amplificare la luce e lo spazio rendendolo più luminoso. Altro accorgimento adottato per avere piu luce nel soggiorno/cucina è la posizione della porta scorrevole di accesso alla camera da letto; essa è stata collocata in prossimità della finestra in modo da permettere un maggiore passaggio di luce nel momento in cui questa venga lasciata aperta. I caloriferi della camera da letto e del bagno sono stati mantenuti, mentre quello del soggiorno è stato sostituito con un calorifero orizzontale piu basso in modo da poter essere mascherato dal mobile basso sotto la televisione. Nel bagno sono stati collocati una lavatrice e il boiler, mascherati da un armadio. L’arredo scelto è semplice e moderno con colori che vanno in contrasto con il pavimento e le pareti chiare.
The renovation of the basement is designed to make it more welcoming and bright space. The project involves a new distribution of space: a double bedroom with wardrobe, a living / kitchen and a bathroom. The tavern is divided into two spaces by an oblique white plastered wall, which makes it more bright space, reflecting the light that enters through the small windows. The material chosen for the floor and for some of the walls is the larch, which makes the warm and cozy atmosphere. The wood-paneled walls are those perimeter with the exception of the wall opposite the windows, in which the kitchen and placed, which is instead white plastered. The white of this wall and the kitchen, as in the case of the oblique wall, has the function of amplifying the light and space, making it brighter. Other expedient adopted in order to have more light in the living room / kitchen is the position of the sliding door access to the bedroom; it has been placed in the vicinity of the window so as to allow a greater passage of light when this is left open. The radiators in the bedroom and bathroom were maintained, while that of the stay has been replaced with a horizontal heater lowest in such a way that it can be masked by the low cabinet under the television. In the bathroom they were placed a washing machine and boiler, disguised as a cupboard. The chosen furniture is simple and modern with colors ranging in contrast with the floor and the clear walls.
