The intent is to design a space that incorporates the existing furniture in a kind of a “value add” for the old storage / display shelves. These existing display units are re-purposed to enhance the beauty of the bespoke shoes. Track- lighting has been utilized to highlight the products individually and pendant lights have been used to provide the ambient light for the showroom.
The walls of showroom has been painted grey to provide a dark / contrasting tone to the space- this would act like a theatrical backdrop to the shoes that are the center of attention. Glass shelves are also there as per the client needs.
A secondary counter has been introduced to the design to provide the separation between the alteration and welcome desk, each having it’s own space now. The ceiling has been kept open to give a clear height of 3 meters. This provides an atmosphere of openness and grandness to the space.
The material palette has been kept earthy. Dark / subdued colors have been used throughout the office. There is a clean separation between the showroom and the office space. The office space follows the same material vocabulary.
