Backyard/patio area redesign. Theme: relaxing, outdoor space for
Home currently has a covered patio, screened enclosure, small side yard, fence, small backyard. The spaces are divided up. We want to take down the screened enclosure and fence and make one unified, wonderful outdoor living space. The use of the space will be entertaining friends, conversation and relaxation. We go on boats a lot, so many times when we come home we might like to take a quick shower and stay outside relaxing. Please consider that behind our house is an alley with other houses so some greenery will be required for privacy. I am open to your ideas. I have included photos from several angles and references of outdoor spaces that I like you so you can see my taste. The elements we want to incorporate: 1. Bar 2. Water (hottub or fountain) 3. Relaxing; minimalist/japanese/relaxing/mid-century modern. The elements we do NOT want to incorporate: . 1. No swimming pool 2. No built in appliances like a grill that are not part of the bar 3. No “BIG” furniture. 4. No big ugly fences. Optional elements: 1. TV. 2. Fence (consider privacy, but nothing too confining. 3. Outdoor shower Behind the wall shown in photo 1 and photo 7 is a nice green space; I think a good idea would be a large window there which would open the space and provide nice natural light. IMPORTANT: Our HOA (homeowners association) has rules on the types of fences, how far the fences can go past garage and the types of landscaping. Please see attachments. Also, be sure to see the PDF that shows the types of spaces we like. We pulled photos from a website, but had to give links because we could not save the photos.
