In it’s present state, this 65 m2 apartment needs to be completely remodeled.
Sun exposure is only on one side, due west. There are no architectural limitations (weight-bearing columns or walls). All walls can be moved and any modification is possible, except the waste removal pipes. All installations/appliances would also need to be completely replaced, so radical changes are feasible and welcome.
I would like for it to become a small 2-bedroom apartment, with a relatively large amount of space for the living room and having a more comfortable bathroom (currently it is long and narrow). The second room can remain small, almost like a study, since it will mainly be used as a study/office/storage/miscellaneous room. Moreover, if it were possible to carve out a small storage space/closet, in which to hide a washing machine and a few brooms, it would be really great!
We may also entertain the 1-bedroom option (second best choice, acceptable only if it is amazing and very convincing…), but then the living room would also have to have a small area that functions as a study corner.
Niches, cyma moldings, false ceilings, smart architecture – anything that helps maximize the available space is extremely desirable and welcome.
The interior design is contemporary, minimal-chic design, yet extremely practical. The “cool” piece of furniture is okay – but only if it serves a specific function and fulfills a specific need, in the exactly right place.
Flooring is parquet in all of the rooms, except the bathroom.
