Taking in account the needs and interests of the owner, my suggestion for this flat will be to create contemporary spaces that are simple, luminous and comfortable.
To start with, a large space for the kitchen with a “Samina” countertop isle, by Gatto cuccina, which provides plenty of working surface, while the T-shape creates a second isle which allows guests to sit around while dinner is prepared.
This modern concept is supported by a spacious modular type furniture with doors, which could be used as a pantry, as well as a space where to “hide” an American double door fridge, oven, and/or microwave.
A wood and glass partition separates the kitchen from the laundry, allowing natural light to get through, while keeping it out of the view.
As for the radiators, it should first be calculated how many you will be needed, and the size of each. Then the distribution of the furniture can be easily rearranged.
For the living area, the owner asked for a large space where to store a colection, but also a place that could easily be transformed in a bedroom where to accomodate guests.
The best way to achieve this will be to place a wall-to-wall and floor to ceiling imperceptible wardrobe, with touch-sensitive doors. This will reconstruct the wall image while providing plenty of storage space. A sofa-bed plus a coffee table and a bookshelf complete the room. To be used as a bedroom, sliding doors were added.
To keep it totally out the view, the access to the bathroom is placed at the entrance of a small corridor. With this modern design, not only the bathroom, but also the main bedroom with a sliding door, will get total privacy.
Coming into the main bedroom there is walk-in closet with doors.
To complete the room I added a nice piece of furniture where to place books, TV, or anything that will help the owner to make it his own.
