In this design, I tried to create the space to be open and bright while minimizing major change to preserve the existing building as much as possible. As you can see in the layout plan, the internal walls are demolished for better access and natural light gain. I proposed a solution of corner sliding door to make the transition from dining area to kitchen / living more wide.
There is no changes to location of kitchen and bathroom.
On the inside corner near the bathroom, I use it as a work studio, where occupant can work there during the day, and it can also converted into a small bedroom if needed.
