This garden design is a beautifully layered sanctuary, perfectly blending distinct zones for relaxation and entertainment.

The Heart of the Garden: The Fire Pit & Lounge Area
At the center of the lawn lies a circular relaxation zone featuring a central fire pit surrounded by comfortable, oversized outdoor ottomans (pouf) in earthy tones of green, terracotta, and beige. This cozy, gathering space is situated directly beneath the canopy of a magnificent Cornus Kousa tree, whose white blossoms provide a stunning overhead feature. The ground cover for this area is a bed of fine, light-colored gravel, offering a textural contrast to the surrounding lush lawn.

Flora and Perimeter
The perimeter of the garden is richly planted, creating a sense of privacy and vibrant color. The back fence features a densely grown climbing plant (clematis), adding a splash of purple/lilac and softening the dark fence line. Surrounding the fire pit area are clusters of brightly colored shrubs, including the highbrudh cranberry of the mahonia and rubus spectabilis the gentle greens of polistic munitum and bluejoint redgrass. These plantings ensure the space feels nestled and secluded.
The maple, which is now damaged, will be replaced with a Sango Kaku maple, noteworthy for its striking red trunk that stands out particularly in winter

The Entertainment Zone
Connected to the main house or a separate structure is a portico area designed for outdoor dining and media. This structure serves a dual purpose: by day, it provides a shaded area. By night, a projector screen can be unfurled to transform the space into an outdoor cinema, turning casual seating into a perfect movie-watching spot.

The Pool and Shade
A designated pool area adds a recreational element. This zone is subtly covered by a triangular sail shade, offering elegant protection from the sun while maintaining an open, contemporary feel.

Atmosphere: Day and Night
During the day, the garden is bright and verdant, with the white blossoms of the Cornus Kousa and the vibrant colors of the shrubs providing a lively backdrop.

At night, the atmosphere transforms into a warm, intimate setting. The fire pit casts a flickering glow, augmented by the strategic placement of various lanterns and ambient string lights draped throughout the trees and fencing, creating pockets of light and shadow perfect for evening gatherings.
