– The rooms of the house are disposed on the north side and south side
– HEIGHT AND SIZE OF WINDOWS AND DOORS CANNOT BE MODIFIED
– Size of each floor: 55 mq
– Number of entrances: 2. They are located on the front side of the house (with access to the hallway of the ground floor) and on the rear (with access to basement / garage).
– We currently use frequently the back entrance that leads to car park (outside)
– Number of family members 3: 2 adults and 1 small child (3 years old)
– Lifestyle: cosmopolitan. For business and pleasure we travel a lot and we love to understand and live the diversity of the world. We love to capture the beautiful and unique things in each country we visit and we always try to bring home something that allows us to remember the trip
– Favorite cities: New York, Amsterdam, London
– NORDIC STYLE / DUTCH DESIGN. It ‘s definitely the basis on which we would like to develop the project. But sometimes this style seems to be too minimal (aseptic). We would like to try to integrate this style with a little personality that gives warmth
– The lights are important to us in every room because they create a warm and soothing atmosphere.
ENGLISH VERSION
PIANO TERRA /GROUND FLOOR/ PLANTA BAJA
We do not place restrictions nor to the materials nor in the transformation and change at the structural level. We would like to use wood for flooring (pine wood as in the living room)
We would like to put a stove / fireplace that could be located between the living room and the hallway The winter here is long and cold, the idea is to find an aesthetic solution that warm (we considered the bifacial thermostove called “pellet idro”.
2 CUCINA / KITCHEN /COCINA This is the most difficult room and here we ask he biggest effort. We would like to be able to get INCREASED BRIGHTNESS
SPACE AND USABILITY (WE LOVE COOKING)
We love to cook and we live a lot this room. We would like to invite friends to dinner and spend time together, but now the room as it is will not let us. We would like to replace the tile of the loor and of the corridor with wood ((pine wood as in the living room)
For the development of the project is possible to change the structural level (BEARING WALLS, DOORS OR ADDING OR DELETING WALLS, ETC.)
We may maintain separate kitchen and living room or consider joining them (eg through an opening in the load-bearing wall that divides the two rooms (kitchen, however, must stay where it is, you can only change the arrangement of elements within the kitchen itself (es. sink, heater, stove, etc.). The idea of open space it seems interesting. The only fear we have is that, loving to cook, the smell will spread everywhere and we would like to avoid this.
We also thought of enlarging the kitchen on the corridor, considering the construction of a “second entrance” (to not be tdirectly in the kitchen when we enter tby he front door.) But the north side of the house is unfortunately quite dark and for this reason we would like solutions “light and airy”
We had also considered to keep the space of the kitchen intact, moving the sliding door only 1 or 2 meters to the north in order to place a large dining table near the south wall of the kitchen and arrange the elements like horseshoe shape (Please find attached a picture that I found in a magazine as example).
3 SALA/LIVING ROOM/SALA DE ESTAR
The living room is the second room that we live more in the home and on which we ask a special care for the development of the project.
The lights are important to us because they create a warm and soothing atmosphere.
4 BAGNO/LITTLE BATHROOM The small bathroom on the ground floor has been recently restored. We realized that the sink is too small and uncomfortable. We need to complement the decor of this small room by making it pleasant and functional. (We need a solution to hold towels, hair dryer, creams, etc.) but that does not make the bathroom to seem cramped)
PRIMO PIANO/ FIRST FLOOR/PRIMER PISO SCALA PER SALIRE AL SECONDO PIANO /STAIRS TO SECOND FLOOR/ESCALERAS HASTA EL SEGUNDO PISO
The current marble steps can be replaced if you deem it appropriate
1 CORRIDOIO/HALLWAY/PASILLO
Please note that in the ceiling of the hallway of the first floor there is a small hatch with retractable ladder to access the attic. To furnish this space is necessary to take this into account
2 CAMERA OSPITI /GUEST BEDROOM/DORMITORIO DE INVITADOS In this room, we want to keep the closet that can not be moved and possibly even the sofa bed just purchased. We would like equip the wall behind the sofa with a bridge structure to exploit it as a wardrobe.(illustrative photo attached)
3 CAMERA BAMBINO/ BOY ROOM/DORMITORIO INFANTIL In this room we have a closet that affects the decor of the room that seems unbalanced (help!)
4 CAMERA MATRIMONIALE/DOUBLE ROOM/HABITACION DOBLE This is our room. There is the constraint of the cabinet and the wall plaster behind the bed. This room seems incomplete.
5 BAGNO/BATHROOM/BAÑO This bathroom is newly renovated. For this room we do not have special needs
SOFFITTA/ATTIC/ÁTICO This aroom is currently served by a retractable ladder. We do not believe we can do great things here as there is a support beam in the middle of the room and only in the middle of the room you are able to stand. this attic (unfinished) is currently used as utility room
SCALA PER SCENDERE AL PIANO INTERRATO/ LADDER TO GO DOWN TO THE BASEMENTE/ SCALERA PARA IR HASTA EL SÓTANO
This part of the house is often used as we often enter from rear door of the garage. (back entrance).The steps of the ladder are in concrete, and in the inner wall there is a small space that serves as utility room. This part of the house we do not like very much. (To be reviewed in its entirety)
PIANO INTERRATO GARAGE – CANTINA/ BASEMENT GARAGE – CELLAR/SÓTANO GARAJE Here we are in the presence of a large room with no dividers used as a garage, basement, laundry room and storage room The “room” of the outer ‘basement should be kept as a garage where a car is currently parked. In the remaining space we would like to place a washing machine, dryer, 4 bikes, the table and work tools, a large shoe rack, a cupboard to store winter jackets and a pantry to store vegetables, wine bottles, etc..
We would also like to explore the possibility of making a small tavern. (The room-boiler can be removed.)
GIARDINO /GARDEN/JARDÍN
We have a small garden that separates the house from the street.(on the north side) Unfortunately it is not used and we would like to live better this space. on both of the small meadows n the right than on the left)there are drains. (Please find attached a photo of a magazine that I found interesting as possible solution)
