Goodmorning everyone!
We are Enrico and Ilaria and we have two daughters of 21 and 16 and a little dog named Lola.
We’re about to move in our new home in Milan.
We just bought a new two-room apartment next to a three-apartment that we already owned. Even if the building is new (it was built in 2006), we’ve decided to merge the two apartment and renovate them both completely. We’d like to redistribute the spaces to obtain the best functional arrangement for us.
The apartment is on the 7th floor of a 8 floors buildings. It is a bright flat, free (detached?) on three sides and with two terraces.
We’d like the terraces to be decorated with beautiful pavements, flower racks and some piece of furniture so that we can exploit and live them.
PRIORITIES:
We need three bedrooms.
We want the master bedroom to have a private bathroom with a big shower (we figure it to be like a “mini-suite” in the house);
We think that the focus of the house has to be the living area (kitchen and living room), infact we really like to have guests and so we’d like to have a comfortable room; We need the kitchen to be well equipped and to have wide surfaces to cook, because we really love cooking;
If it is possible, we’d like to have two dining spaces: – one just for 4 people, for our daily routine, maybe with a counter tied to the kitchen, also extractable if you want. -one bigger and more “formal” for the dinners with our friends.
We need a laundrette with a washing machine, a dryer, some closets for the sheets. This room can be placed also in the bathroom near the living room.
We need a working space, like a little studio, with some space for printer and documents, and we’d like this space to be quite private, so we don’t need to bother to put it in order when we have guests. You can put it also in a bedroom or hidden-like inside a piece of furniture;
We really need several ample closets, shoe racks and box rooms to organize and put in order all our stuff;
We’d like a coat rack at the entrance to put coats and bags;
We have two different entrance, so you can choose which one to mantain and which one to close;
We’d love to find some recess or space for a fireplace, even better if double-sided, and clearly without a chimney vent. But this is not a mandatory request, rather a desire.
We need some space for a good bookcase, infact we love to read and maybe a relaxation area;
We’d be glad if you find some space for a big television, we mainly use it when there are big sporting events or like a playing consolle, but we also like to whatch it with our friends sometimes;
We prefer to use the two terraces as a support for the living area and so put the sleeping area in the three-room apartment, but since it is a big limitation in the redistribution of spaces, we’re open to any alternative solution.
We’d like to have and entrance hall, even if small.
Unfortunately the wall are only 2,70 metres high, so we cannot have a full lowering where to put air conditioning, lightning and cable radio, but we’d like to have some part of the house where the lowering can value the space;
Unfortunately in the apartment there are two bearing pillars that limit the redistribution possibilities;
Please bear in mind the positioning of the air conditioning when you do the splits.
OUR TASTES:
We like polished houses, perfect in every detail, with lowering and plasterboard recesses and combined furniture with veils, as if they were tailored for our home.
We like the home to be always cleand and tidy and we like sliding-like solutions. We love warm cosy houses, really bright, with contemporary furniture.
We like bright soft colours, like dove-gray, with some lump of more intense colours to define the spaces, and we’d like all very well-finished.
We prefer broad spaces, like open spaces, and we don’t like the “tavern” effect, all crowdy and stuffed.
We’d like to have paintings with dedicated lightning.
We like concealed sockets, spotlights and lights cashed in the ceiling, where possible. We prefer sliding glass doors or flush doors. We like doors hidden in some closet too.
Talking about materials, we like parquet with large planks.
You can use stone or corten effect, for example, in the bathroom or in some space in the living room but pay attention not to make it to heavy.
We really like this three elements: glass, wood and stone.
We love pillows and flowers. Ilaria loves orchids and family photos and it is important for us that you use the green colour.
Talking about the two bedrooms for our daughters, they really want to customize it, so it is sufficient for us to have the floorplan without the renders. Only, it is important that the usage of the space is maximized and to have sufficient space for the closet, a large bedroom (a single bed and an half or a queen size bed), a study area and a bookshelf (they both study quite a lot and have a lot of books).
These are the main information on our tastes and our needs.
We are aware of the limited space that we have. We really want you to be creative and so we tried not to put so many limits.
We’d really like to get very good renders that help us to visualize our future home. We’re willing to answer any doubt or question that you have.
Thank you
