Hello Everyone!
I submitted my contest a few days ago, but after receiving some feedback I have decided to change the contest objective. It was a little too complicated …
I would like to divide my apartment into one larger apartment (approx 70 sqm ) and a smaller one (appox 40sqm).
The smaller one will be used almost only for holiday letting, while the larger apartment as holiday letting or for our own holidays throughout the year (family of 4).
The current total indoor surface is approx 110 sq mt.
Currently there are two bathrooms.
There is a further water attachment and drain on the far bottom right outdoor terrace (as per first plan with no dimensions), just outside the second bedroom.
Looking for ideas on how to best divide and organize the apartment.
Our idea was having:
– 1 x 1 bedroom apartment with a living room+kitchen and 1 bathroom, comprising 2 of the 3 terraces on the side of the current kitchen.
– 1 x 2 bedroom apartment with a larger living room+kitchen with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, with the larger balcony, the balcony of the second bedroom and the balcony of the current study.
So basically with an L shaped larger apartment.
We are however open to any other solution that might help us to utilize the spaces more efficiently to create a better/nicer layout of the two apartments.
NOTE- ALL MEASUREMENTS OF THE PLANS WERE DONE BY ME WITH THE HELP OF AN IPHONE APP and METER, SO WHILE REASONABLY ACCURATE, ARE NOT 100% correct.
Also , on the bottom left corner of the living room (as per the first plan) there is a large fireplace that sits at a 45degree angle to the living room. I would like to keep it.
Also I would like to avoid long dark corridors.
We are also thinking of having one larger window/door covering the area of the two current window/doors of the current loungeroom
Thank you very much!
