I have planned a nice compositions for Your new living room:
Its positioning is the same like the original, with some additional furnishing and decorations on a certain placement.
For the seating I kept the sofa as you prefer with two additional poufs to fit the empty space and also for additional seating in case there is some additional guest attended the room. On the corner side I put a nice armchair with different model and color to give it more modern look and balance point, I choose blue color tone to give it a cool vibe to the room, thus I also added two additional blue cushion on the sofa for the unity of the color scheme. I also changed the classic lamp to contemporary one with more control so you can change the direction of lighting as needed
The coffee and side table I chose is the one with rounded edges so they will add some dynamics on the room, in addition of that the marble white table-top will give modern and clean vibe for the room, with combination of metal table legs. The tv table is using different shape and color tone as the contrast on the room. The rugs I'm using is to give a nice texture on the floor in contrast with the wooden floor, and also to give a cozy vibe for the room. And the last I'm also added a nice potted palm tree on the corner to make the room more lively.
