Dear client, I hope this design meets your requirements and standards.
I have two iterations of the design, both simple but efficient and decided on the cost of renovations or the flow of movement within the spaces.
-In iteration 1, the position of the kitchen is retained to reduce renovation costs of constructing a new drainage system. The terrace is therefore accessed from the kitchen still.
-In iteration 2, the kitchen is moved next to the bathroom. This ensures cheap reconstruction of a drainage system as the one in the bathroom is extended towards the new kitchen. This new repositioning of the kitchen provides an airy and open kitchen and dining with easy flow of movement between them. Furthermore, the terrace is now easily accessed from the formal living room.
-In both iterations, the fireplace is retained to reduce renovation costs; thus an informal living room is set up at the entrance.
-In both iterations, the wet areas in upper floors (both bathrooms) are stacked above wet areas on the ground floor (bathroom + kitchen) for efficient drainage.
-Only a few windows are added and some windows are moved. The door in the current kitchen, leading to the terrace, has sidelights added to it for more natural light and transparency to outdoors.
