Thank you for the opportunity to work on this interesting project. Please finding below my proposal.
1.The Level 1 is kept the same as current status. I would keep the current external stairs and balcony at the East and North side of the house, as this stairs is leading directly from the garden to the Level 2 and closes to the entrance of the property. I propose to have 2 separated entrances for Apartment 1 at Level 2 and Apartment 2 at Level 3. And to have a connecting door (the lock door) at the foyer of Apartment 2 to connect to internal stairs in case we need to have 2 apartments as one apartment. Please note that the internal stairs is arrived at the living room of Apartment 3, so this separated entrance will be a private foyer for this apartment 3 (please see level 3 for details)
2. At Level 2, we have Apartment 1 with an open space for Living room, dining area and Kitchen and Island, they are located at the South side of the house, which is the best area for view and sunlight. This area opens directly to an outdoor balcony. I propose to cut less than 1/3 of the length of the balcony (You can see we don’t have balcony at the living area) in order to make a open for under driveway, which I see the clearance is not so high; and also create an interesting volume for the facade design.
We have a foyer before enter the house to make it feel more private. A master bedroom, with a walk in closet, ensuite bathroom (have both shower and bathtub) and a balcony. Second bedroom is single bed (area> 9sqm). We have second bathroom and a corridor laundry. All the bathrooms area have windows; and all the bathrooms, kitchen and laundry closes to a waste stack.
3. At the Level 3, we have apartment 2 with 1 bedroom (area=16.5 sqm), and open space for living room, kitchen and small dining area. We have a walk in closet and a bathroom with bathtub. All the room have good view and sunlight.
Bedroom and living room can be accessed directly to big terrace, which has a set of outdoor sitting, fire pit and dining table. As mention, the internal stairs arrives directly to the living room, so the foyer at level 2 for this apartment is needed to create privacy for this apartment.
4. Intern of façade design, I propose a modern look with flat roof, large terrace, balconies. Material choice is white paint, grey stone, wooden panel and large sliding doors.
