Dear client,
thank you for the opportunity to work on your new apartment.
In the brief, you mentioned the need for a kitchen with an eventual peninsula, dining space to host a certain number of dinner guests, a lounge that is more interesting and larger than the one proposed in the plan drawing you provided us with, and a small workstation with a computer. As well as those needs you expressed a concern about the entrance to the apartment.
With all this in mind, my aim was to meet all your needs and wishes in the best possible way.
Starting with the entrance, your current floor plan suggests a kitchen at the very entrance, which makes it inconvenient. Your living space has an attached balcony which brings in more natural light and gives a more open and spacious feeling to the space, and it would be a shame not to take advantage of that by placing the lounge area in the corner by the small window.
As your bathroom is on the other side of the wall by the small window, you already have all the needed installations in that part of the room. This is the reason I suggest moving the kitchen to that area. You will gain more space for the lounge in a much more attractive part of the room, and the entrance will make much more sense.
In the drawings I sent I explain all these decisions in more detail.
The lounge area proposed is quite flexible, the seating arrangements can be made in various ways; two sofas opposite each other, two sofas in an L setup, one L-shaped sofa, an L-shaped sofa, and an armchair, sofa, and two lounge chairs, etc.
In the renders, I show the option of a sofa with two armchairs, but this is completely up to your preference.
The dining area can host 4-6 people in a comfortable way, and more if needed depending on the table you choose to use. This is possible since you can be using the total width of the room if you're hosting a dinner party and movements throughout the space wouldn't be needed as much on such an occasion.
Your needs for bookshelves, tv stand, a place for a record player and vinyl, a sound system, and a workstation with a computer, are all met in one continuous built-in piece of furniture that is custom-designed (basic drawings to understand it are provided in the submitted files and in the dwg, and for more detailed drawings I would be happy to assist you if needed).
