Description

Internal space and facade are designed to provide the best possible useable space with contemporary architecture, simple spaces and featured art walls. Existing entrance from the Via Concordia side is maintained as a common lobby for both ground and first floor apartments. Direction of the entrance door swing is modified. Entrance to the ground floor apartment is through an ‘entrance gallery’ corrido where there is adequate space for art works as well as coat/show hangers. If required, additional entrance door from the carport 2 can be introduced directly into the ‘entrance gallery’. Through the narrow corrido one would enter into the large living/dining space that opens into outside green and overlooks to the glulam canopy terrace. Kitchen is an open-plan kitchen with a centre island. Centre island has a cooker, breakfast bar, dropdown bulkhead and cooker extract. Master bedroom, en-suite and walk-in-wardrobe are spacious and simple. In order to obtain required headroom and level with the road level, the carport floor is dropped 200mm. Thus obtaining guest room at mezzanine level above part of the carports. (note: the drop is optional. If this is not preferred, there would be only 2000mm clear in carport and guest room.) With the additional 200mm, both the carport and the guest room will have 2100mm height internally. The guest room and the en-suite over looks into the ground level ceiling. This ceiling can be treated as an art work. Additionally, apart from the west elevation opening, a higher level opening in the south elevation is introduce to provide outside view into the guest rooms. As existing, the two separate carports are maintained and has adequate space for DIY workstations. Carport doors dimensions are modified.
