The project starts from the idea of enhancing the unique existing architectural elements: just two pillars in a big empty space.
To do that, the pillars can be covered with backlighted plastic panels or with mirrors.
The theme of the spectacular pillars is continued all over the living room, where pillars shaped wardrobes interchanged with shelves create a false architecture.
The existing pillars stand alone and they create a distribution spaces with the other room of the apartment: on the north, they connect with the hall, the studio, the kitchen and the dining room, on the south, they connect with the night and service areas.

Il progetto parte dall’idea di valorizzare gli unici elementi architettonici esistenti: solamente due pilastri al centro di un open space.
Per riuscire in questo obiettivo, i pilastri possono essere rivestiti con pannelli plastici retroilluminati o con specchi.
Il tema dei pilastri scenografici è ripreso in tutto il soggiorno, dove armadi a forma di pilastri alternati a scaffali creano una falsa architettura.
I pilastri esistenti sono lasciati isolati per crearci attorno gli spazi di distribuzione che connettono con le altre stanze dell’appartamento: quelle a nord, ingresso, studio, cucina e sala pranzo, quelle a sud, zona notte e servizi.
